JAF October Seminar

The Judicial Fellows returned to Sacramento at the end of October for the first field seminar and assorted Capital Fellows activities.  The fellows took part in a number of exciting tours, talks and events while in town including a behind-the-scenes tour of the California Archives (home to the original state constitution), an in-depth exploration of the Federal Court including a conversation with Judge Shubb, court observation and a tour of the US Marshall’s office.  The group also joined the Executive, Senate and Assembly fellows for a day of team building, professional development and fun.

The archives are home to fascinating collections of state history. During the tour fellows gather around a book containing old booking photos from San Quentin State Prision in the late 1800's.
