The class visited the San Bernardino Superior Court for a field seminar at the beginning of February. The theme for the seminar was Court Innovation. Fellows had the opportunity to meet with the executive team at the court including the presiding judge, learn about the court’s transition to a new case management system and automation of search warrant approvals, and get an in depth tour of the facility. The tour included learning more about court security and courtroom technology.
A highlight of the day was meeting Dozer and Lupe, the two facility dogs who in part make up the Special Victims K-9 Unit at the District Attorney’s office. Read more about this exciting program here.
